Representation and management of the German security and defence industry’s interests
Tasks and objectives
- Respecting and promoting the common concerns of its corporate members
- Promoting a positive attitude towards the industry in politics, public administration and society
- Representing member companies’ interests vis-à-vis national bodies, the EU and international institutions
- Close co-operation with relevant German ministries and the Bundeswehr
- Emphasising the special importance of the industry to Germany, particularly in the fields of: foreign and security policy, employment, high technology and future technologies as well as membership in and co-operation with national and international associations/organisations
- Participating in the preparation and implementation of official decrees, ordinances, legislation
- Participating in expert meetings and trade fairs
Overriding objective:
- Preserving and developing the competitiveness and sustainability of the German security and defence industry as well as maintaining and promoting Germany as a technology and business location
